Bahrain (as Tylos, Bahrain's Greek name) was mentioned by Pliny to have been, "famous for the vast number of its pearls". البحرين (كما تايلوس وهو الاسم اليوناني للبحرين) ذكره بلينيوس الأكبر أنها كانت شهيرة بالعدد الكبير من اللؤلؤ.
